From what I see in the Scriptures, God has never commanded uniformity for His church. Unity, yes—uniformity, no. The New Testament presupposes the existence of diversity and declares liberty in regard to the disputable matters which occur in each of us as we express as best we can, what the Lord has revealed to us. And we who follow Christ, though incredibly diverse, are called to accept one another and remain united despite the various ways in which we are not uniform.
As long as Christians extend fellowship to each other based on the condition that they must all agree with a manufactured system of religious ideas, they will only produce, build, and protect their own system of uniformity. This can be a form of spiritual bondage for those who conform, while excluding all who differ. This uniformity is defined by a narrow set of temperamental preferences, philosophical opinions, inductive conclusions and institutionalized traditions of human origin, not Divine authority.
The Kingdom of God is about one King and one Kingdom. The one and only Kingdom to pursue is the Kingdom of our God and the only true King we pursue as well as His righteousness is Jesus Christ. (Matthew 6:33). We have one constitution, which is the Word of God. 70 elders in a room cannot change the Kings laws for His Kingdom. We are not in a Republic, we are not in a Democracy, and there is no negotiating or bending of His truth. He is King and as children and subjects of His Kingdom, it is high treason to not be obedient to the King. The way of sin (treason) is death, and we have a Savior who purchased us back into the government of God.
My wife Joyce always says that we need to activate a universal ministry called “Get Out Of His Way Ministries International.” I am in agreement with her. We need to simply get out of the way in our opposition of what clearly is the work of His Spirit. We need to see beyond our mindsets that the Lord is mightily using women throughout the world in ways that contradict the traditions and doctrines of man. There is a divine order of things as He leads us. We must submit to His order and not the order of men.
Most women are not seeking to rule the world. Women in general are not seeking to rule at all. Most women just want to be heard. They have a voice and it is of tremendous Kingdom value. The Body of Christ will have greater impact in our nations, communities and churches as we release their gifts throughout the world.
My Child,
You may not know me, but I know everything about you . Psalm 139:1
I know when you sit down and when you rise up . Psalm 139:2
I am familiar with all your ways . Psalm 139:3
Even the very hairs on your hear are numbered . Matthew 10:29-30
For you were made in my image . Genesis 1:27
The western church is taught and tends to gravitate towards Jabez types of prayers and Jabez types of results that really appeal to the core of our flesh nature. They do not want to read, study, or apply the teachings of sacrifice and death to self. Selfless life does not sell in the American church experience. They can quote the feel good scriptures, but do not gravitate to Job or Joseph realities. They certainly desire a season of harvest over any wilderness experience. We do not want to sacrifice our next meal, let alone a career, a house, or a lifestyle for His Kingdom. We need to embrace the wilderness, suffering, and sacrifice as a part of His plan, in changing us into His image.
The reason and season is His choice
The enemies of our God love to throw us off track by diverting and diluting our focus. Amazingly enough, Satan’s main tactic is how much twisted truth he can implement in a believers life. Satan knows that we are growing up and most of us will not fall for obvious lies from the pit of hell, so he mixes as much biblical truth as he can with enough poison to throw us off the path of righteousness. How much arsenic is needed to be deadly? The devil knows just how much poison he needs, mixed with truth to deceive us. Even most non Christian religions are filled with many truths you can find in the word of God, and yet are missing the only true giver of Life, Jesus Christ.
We need to be free “from the sin that so easily besets us”, and any other thing that hinders us from obedience to our Almighty God and Father. We are called to run the race, pursue Him with all of our being. In pursuit of Him and His righteousness, we need to ask the Holy Spirit to shine the light on our blind spots. We need a light to shine on the dimmers of our light, the dimmers of our inheritance, and the dimmers of our destiny.
The devil is a master at keeping us static. We lead static lives, build static relationships and go to static churches and we wonder why we do not see a move of God around us. This is a battle and we must engage in progression towards………
Living by the Love of Law
Living by loving the law as a foundation of theology, produces orphans. By following the rules, they strive for praise, approval, and the acceptance of man which breeds insecurity and lack of peace. An orphan will have a selfish desire for personal achievement as they seek to impress God and others. Many times they will have no motivation at all to live a life of service in His Kingdom.
They feel that they must be holy in order to earn God’s love and acceptance, which mostly produces feelings of shame and guilt. Their self image is in their own value and perceived comparisons with others. This is the foundation that the enemy uses to birth false comforts. They will often find comfort in addictions, counterfeit affections, compulsions, escapism, busyness, and the tremendously popular “hyper religious activities”.
Are you being discipled or consoled?
Most of us recognize that we all need encouragement and ultimately want to feel good. But at the cost of obedience to our Lord, or being discipled to His ways, NO THANK YOU! So as disciples, we MUST embrace correction, we MUST embrace challenges to our paradigms; we MUST embrace the wilderness, and we MUST embrace change, as the Lord sees fit. Is it easy? It certainly is not easy, and nothing worth giving your life for ever is. Is it necessary? For every disciple, it is necessary to allow uncomfortable shifts to take place. It is all part of the purification process in purging us from all unrighteousness as we die to self, while allowing Christ to live through us. It is in this process of dying as a disciple that we truly live.
Bitterness, wrath, and anger are the fruits of unforgiveness. Unforgiveness is like a poison that begins on the inside and like cancer, spreads and consumes an individual’s life. They are only one step away from healing, but for some that is one step that is difficult to take. I have a friend who is going through tremendous difficulty in his marriage. His wife wants out of the marriage. She is one of the most amazing and gifted woman you would ever want to meet and they have 3 beautiful children. But she has an illness and the illness is killing her, killing her marriage and withholding the beauty that she has deep inside. The illness is called unforgiveness and yet it is curable by the choice of forgiveness.
